Renewal of Lease Policy

The criteria used in lease renewal are the following:

1) Multi-Member Households-Non-Artist Members. From time to time a household may move into the building with some non-artist members, or artist members may take on non-artist roommates. If the artist member of the household moves out of the building or transfers to another unit leaving a non-artist member in the unit, the non-artist member's lease may not be renewed.

2) Chronic Late Payment. If a household is chronically late with payments (6 or more in a 12-month period), without using the payment plan system the Cooperative has set up, or violates the terms of payment plans that are set up, their lease may not be renewed.

3) Non-Participation. If a household does not participate in the community of the Cooperative, the household's lease may not be renewed.

4) Policy Violation. Any policy violations will be considered in lease renewal.
