| Pet Policy
The following items are laws to which the Tilsner Artist Cooperative is subject:
1) No person shall be allowed to keep wild or exotic animals without a permit.
2) Every dog or cat four months of age and older shall be vaccinated against rabies. A rabies vaccination tag must be worn by any dog or cat whenever it is out of doors. Any dog or cat without a rabies tag out of doors may be impounded, and the owner charged with a misdemeanor.
3) No person shall have a dog over three months of age without a license. A license tag should be worn by the dog at all times.
4) Owners, holders and keepers of dogs shall restrain the animal by chain or lease not exceeding 6 feet in length.
5) Owners, holders and keepers of dogs shall be responsible for cleaning up any feces.
6) It is unlawful for any person to own, keep or hold any dog which howls, yelps or barks to the reasonable annoyance of another person.
The following items were drafted by Tilsner members to be part of our pet policy:
1) No household may have more than 2 pets. Exceptions can be made for small animals.
2) Pets are not allowed outside an owner's unit without being accompanied by a human and on a leash or in a carrier.
3) No more than 1 household's pets should be in the elevator at a time.
4) Every household must provide the on-site manager with an accurate record of all of its pets. The record should include the number, name and species of pets, and proof of vaccination against rabies for dogs and cats, as well as proof of license for dogs. Households will be given 90 days to provide this information.
5) A deposit of $50 is required for any unit having a pet.
6) Any visiting pets are subject to the Tilsner pet policy.
7) All pets that spray must be spayed or neutered.
8) No poisonous animals are allowed.
9) Any and all messes created by pet, and pet behavior are the responsibility of the pet owner. Any damage done to unit by pet, above and beyond the value of damage and pet deposit is the responsibility of the pet owner and the pet owner will be held legally responsible.
10) No animals weighing over 100 pounds.
11) Any demonstration of dangerous behavior will be just cause to permanently remove the animal from the building immediately.
